About Clayhouse
Clayhouse Mortgage is a small, independent, family-run brokerage in Colorado Springs, run by people who think a mortgage should be explained by someone who’ll still pick up the phone next month.
Our story
Logan spent enough time around the big-bank model to see its limit: a loan officer can only offer what the bank stocks. The borrower’s situation comes second to the product on the shelf.
Clayhouse exists to flip that around. As an independent broker, we’re not tied to one lender’s rate sheet, we compare across many, then bring you the handful that genuinely fit. It’s a quieter, more honest way to do this: fewer pitches, more straight answers, and one person who owns your file from the first call to the closing table.
We’re proud to do it from Colorado Springs, for our neighbors across the Front Range. When you work with us, you’re not a ticket in a queue, you’re someone we’ll likely run into at the grocery store, and someone we treat like family.
Meet the team
Small by design. When you call Clayhouse, you reach the people actually working on your loan.
Logan leads every file personally, from the first what-are-my-options call through to closing. He’s the one comparing lenders against your situation and translating the fine print into decisions you can actually make.
Michelle keeps the process moving and the communication human, chasing paperwork, smoothing the timeline, and making sure nothing about your loan ever feels like a mystery or a runaround.

What we believe
If we can’t explain it simply, we haven’t done our job. No jargon walls, no surprise terms at the table.
Independence is the point. We shop many lenders and bring you the real options, not just the in-house one.
You won’t be re-routed through a call center. One relationship, from first hello to keys in hand.
We live and work here. Our reputation in this community is the only marketing that matters to us.
Rooted in the Front Range
We know this market because we live in it, the neighborhoods, the new builds, the rural edges where USDA quietly works, the way the seasons move buyers. Local knowledge isn’t a tagline here; it’s how we read your options.
